16 Cute Child Actors Who Grew Up To Be Ugly

By and large, most kids are cute. For kids who are on screen, it is a necessity. You don’t see many ugly ducklings in show business; in fact, it is usually the other way around. Here are 15 child actors who went from cute to mute.

Most people probably remember her character`s name, Lisa Turtle, on the show Saved By The Bell than they do her real name, and the reason is obvious. Unlike many of the other actors from the show, like Elizabeth Berkeley and Mario Lopez, Lark just became, well, a lark, landing roles in strange projects and losing her looks.

Out 15, only 4 were right on target: McCauley, Clint, Taran, and Danny. The others, you are sadly mistaken. That’s is if you’re talking about looks only. Sorry, but you missed.

Wrong. None of those actors “turned” ugly. Clint always played the homely child when he was a child actor. The others have just aged or are caught with bad make-up/angle/expression .. the ‘unflattering’ picture that paparazzi are always looking to capture.

Taran Noah Smith played the youngest child on “Home Improvement” and he was adorable. Sadly even back then it was clear he couldn’t act his way out of a paper bag. It’s even sadder that his life has been so difficult since then. I do not think he is ugly in the least though.

Although some of them do show the results of a hard life, most of these child stars simply grew up to look like ordinary, average people. If that is the standard for being ugly, then 90% of humanity qualifies.

Your comment is the most intelligent one here. The only ugly person was the one who actually sat down and came up with this hurtful crap in the first place. It is clear that the writer hasn’t a clue where true beauty lies, it’s not the face that’s for sure and I would LOVE to see a picture of this so called clap trap writer since it is so easy to hide behind a keyboard. one thing the writer is jealous of is the bank books of these so called ugly people. PS watch the view, Raven is beautiful as is Myiam from Big Bang.. Today’s writers of these trash rags have become cruel and just plain rotten and you’re right that by their standards most of the population would be considered ugly. Thanks for your sanity and excuse my rant.

Anybody will grow old to be ugly. It’s just that for some people it can take longer.

growing older is a fact of life … beauty is subjective and apparently we have many Gods and Goddesses of Beauty out there

I continue to be shocked by 2 things…1. Macaulay Culkin is still alive and 2. How he seems to look worse every time I see a photo of him.

JONATHAN LIPNICKI is pretty darn cute too! Wonder what the author looks like?

The author is just MEAN! I have not seen Jerry McGuire, but Jonathan Lipnicky is definitely NOT UGLY! Jeremy is gorgeous now and you could see it developing as “Ben” got older! Jason Hervey looks better now! So does Daniel Radcliff. And Mayim Bialick is rocking the character she plays, who is meant to look nerdy, but in real life she “cleans up nice!” As Thumper’s mother said, If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!

Clint Howard was always ugly. Don’t you remember the kid from “Gentle Ben”? And how about his appearance in the Star Trek episode….when he played Baylok, and drank “Tranya”
That was not a good looking kid….

Ugly? Not! Did a Goddess write this article? ha

I hadn’t seen this kid since the Wonder Years, but from the photo, Jason Hervey seems to have a younger Jeff Bridges thing going on. A little older and work out a bit (again), he could do well for a comeback, but at 42 he’s doing just fine as a producer.

Yea, and lots of these kids weren’t cute as a kid, just good actors. But “Ugly kids who are still ugly”, I guess that would be the more accurate premise.

Clint Howard was always ugly. I remember seeing him on Star Trek when I was a kid and I told myself “wow, that boy is so ugly”. His cold blue or gray eyes, bad teeth and big block head was very unappealing. It’s no surprise that aging didn’t help him due to losing his hair. Maybe he was a horrible person in the last life.

most of these child actors were ravaged at a young age by drugs smoking and alcahol. none more than the home alone kid. as for the not so cute opie clone. out of all those other losers he stayed on the path like his brother and showed up and worked and learned his craft. my favorite role for him was in the movie THE WRAITH with charlie sheen. he played a nerdy engine mechanic genious! you can’t get a tougher role than that!

I guess I’m perverted or something, because I think Mayim Bialik is pretty.
