Top 15 Artists Who Are Older Than You Thought
2. Julianne Moore – 56
Simply stunning, who believe Julianne Moore is 56? This dashing redhead with a resume that goes back to Boogie Nights has not lost a step whatsoever. Her sex appeal has not diminished one bit.

Actually Julianne Moore’s career started 10 years before Boogie Nights and includes 21 movies & TV productions. Some were even famous such as Benny & Joon, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, and Body of Evidence (I didn’t say they were all good).

And do not forget the Harrison Ford movie “The Fugitive.” She is the ER doctor who corners Ford after he saves a child’s life.

I would have tried hard to have her still sitting next to me. She’s a beauty, and ages very well.

Lucy Liu was born on Dec 2, 1968. That would make her 46 years old today.

Most of these people are no surprise. You just have to be old enough to remember when they were first performing.

Considering how long these people have been working in the business, none of these were a surprise.
Also, black people don’t count. For the most part we age gracefully.

Why don’t black people count, exactly?
Anna

Paul RJ black don’t crack is an expression meaning black people age gracefully. And most black people do look younger than they are.

First time I saw Julianne Moore in a movie I was sure she was older than me — but she’s only my age? Poor thing.

You must be taking pity on yourself.
Julianne Moore has always looked great. Did you ever stop to think , the part of the movie may have required she looked whatever age she played ? Most actors are changed by varying amounts of makeup for movie rolls. Many times, it’s what the director/producer demands.

Is there anyone who works for this blog that is older than 30? Most of these stars look their age in my opinion. People in their 40’s don’t look old. I think 50 begins to be a more telling time, when more wrinkles begin to appear. When someone past 55 looks 35 to 40, that will amaze me. I remember what I looked like in my 40’s and most people thought I was much younger. At almost 58, time has caught up and I no longer pass for someone in my 40’s. The only person I thought would have definitley had me quessing was the last celebrity posted. He still looks like a kid (in his 20’s) to me.

Kind of weird to think EW might believe turning 40 makes you automatically old and no longer “sexy.” But then again you are a magazine about Hollywood and certainly that seems to be an overriding principle in Hollyweird. As a movie goer and TV watcher I see Judi Dench in the sequel to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and think she’s sexy as hell. I see Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino and think he’s sexy as hell. Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Mark Harmon, Kim Cattral…all 50 or older. We’ll know agism is dead when articles like this stop getting published.
